Ups and Downs of Christmas - a discussion workshop
The Ups and Downs of Christmas
Monday 22 December · 7:00–9:30pm · Free workshop at socialbar
The festive season can be joyful, demanding, or a bit of both. This workshop offers a relaxed space to step back, regroup and build a small but practical toolkit for navigating Christmas with more ease.
Across the evening, we’ll explore simple ways to set boundaries, protect energy, reconnect with personal resources and lean into supportive relationships — all aimed at helping you get the best from the season rather than feeling pulled by it.
You’ll leave with everyday strategies you can use immediately, whether you're hosting, travelling, juggling family dynamics or just trying to find a moment of calm.
Give a gift to yourself this Christmas.

Join us for an informal evening exploring these questions and more, through honest conversation, shared insights and practical takeaways. Drawing on a needs and resources-based model of mental and physical health, we’ll discuss what's required for healthy growth and explore the innate resources we possess to achieve balance and resilience.
Whether you're navigating challenges, supporting others or striving for a more fulfilling life, understanding your fundamental needs and resources is a powerful tool.
