Crisp and rounded, with citrus, green pear and a touch of baked lemon. A classic southern Burgundy Chardonnay grown on clay-limestone soils and made with minimal intervention, Lionel Margotin and his family used to sell grapes to co-ops, but in 2019 began making their own wines from this tiny organic vineyard in Mâcon. Young and vibrant, this wine shows the charm of lesser-known Burgundy at its best.
